Spreading The Word of Summer Camp All Over The World

Advertising is such an incredible way to spread the benefits of summer camp to people all over the world. Unfortunately, we have limitations in the advertising world as to who we can reach with our messages. Even for some of the richest people in the world, reliable internet access is often not available due to infrastructure in their countries. Facebook is working to give internet access to everyone all over the world in a move I think could significantly impact the summer camp industry.

According to Mark Zuckerberg: “As part of our Internet.org effort to connect the world, we’ve designed unmanned aircraft that can beam internet access down to people from the sky. Today, I’m excited to share that we’ve successfully completed our first test flight of these aircraft in the UK. The final design will have a wingspan greater than a Boeing 737 but will weigh less than a car. It will be powered by solar panels on its wings and it will be able to stay at altitudes of more than 60,000 feet for months at a time. Aircraft like these will help connect the whole world because they can affordably serve the 10% of the world’s population that live in remote communities without existing internet infrastructure.”

It’s pretty incredible to dream of a world where everyone will be connected to the internet and to each other. One day it could be common place for kids from all over the world to attend summer camp! Are you ready to see the whole world connected? I am!
